Daniella Nassar is a Cypriot-Lebanese media composer, pianist, and cellist based in London. Drawing on her classical training and multicultural roots, Daniella crafts music that blends emotional depth with contemporary innovation, always driven by a passion for storytelling through sound. Her work spans film and television, concert music, and dance. Her musical voice seamlessly integrates orchestral richness with modern sound design, shifting fluidly between sweeping cinematic themes and delicately textured, intimate moments.
Her scoring credits include both narrative and documentary projects such as the feature film Teddy and the Mountain (2024), the award-winning short What If? (Best Fiction Short – FECIMU 2024), Moonshot (2023), the documentary Zealandia (2023), the short film Enjoy Your Visit (2025) in collaboration with Emmy-winning writer-director Erin Kramer, and the short film Grim (2025), among others. In 2022, she received an Honourable Mention in the FMF Young Talent Award and conducted her score at the Penderecki Centre in Lusławice, Poland. More recently, she was named a Top 10 Finalist in the 2025 Oticons Faculty Film Scoring Competition. Her music was also selected by the Alliance for Women Film Composers to be premiered in Los Angeles by the Global Arts Youth Orchestra.
Daniella has contributed as an orchestrator, having assisted Grammy-winning orchestrator and arranger Penka Kouneva on orchestration projects.
She has composed for interdisciplinary works including dance, with her music premiered in Cyprus as part of the Artist in Process: Emerging event. She has also been commissioned by the National Children’s Orchestra to write a piece set to premiere in 2026 as part of the ABRSM Composer Programme; additionally, she will be writing a new work for St Andrew’s Brass Band, also premiering in 2026, alongside contributions to the Examination Syllabus Board.
As a pianist, Daniella is increasingly in demand around London, with appearances at prestigious venues including the Ritz Hotel and Raffles OWO, among others. She also recently performed at the Wicked 2 launch event organised by Universal, with director Jon M. Chu in attendance. She has performed in distinguished venues across London, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus, and holds multiple awards from notable competitions such as 1st Prize in the Stratford and East London Concerto Competition and 1st Prize in the Gladys Puttick Improvisation Competition. She recently made her soloist debut with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and this year she has given solo-recital debuts in Vienna and Edinburgh. She has numerous engagements, composition premieres, and solo recitals scheduled throughout 2026.
Daniella holds a Master’s in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music and a First-Class Honours degree in Piano Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
